Man with parrot on his shoulder-- Check!
Parrot with winter coat-- Check!
Conversation with three different men with eyes patches in one morning-- Check!
None of them were the one with the parrot-- Craziness!
That is one way to summarize my second week in San Francisco. The other is that I have worked 51 hours this week, and am pretty tired. However, after sleeping 12 hours last night, I'm feeling pretty refreshed, and ready to work! I was actually supposed to fly out with my boss to Boulder, CO yesterday to go to one of our Delivery Centers but I have to wait to go on trips until my company credit card comes in. I didn't realize I would be traveling, but am pretty excited about it. I still feel like I don't have anything to bring to the table yet, but hopefully that'll change as I learn more.
My coworkers are pretty awesome, and have made me feel very welcome. haha There are 7 of us total-- Hannah and I are the only girls. They are very entertaining, but are also very good at their jobs. Last Thursday we went to our first Happy Hour to a bar called Steff's. Tonight I think we are going out for Vinny's birthday-- looking forward to going out instead of just getting through the day so I can go to bed and wake up to start it all over again. I know I've only been here two weeks but I'm ready to make good friends. I mean I consider my coworkers my friends, but they don't really know me. I can't wait til I have someone out here who actually knows who I am, and visa versa....
Okay, this one is pretty boring so I may write later. Tomorrow I'm planning on possibly coming back to San Fran to do a little Christmas shopping and maybe go see the Invictus movie. Hope all is well!
Wow it just took me like 20 minutes to figure out how to create an account to be able to comment on this. lol. Ok not 20 min but close. Anyway, I hope sometime you see an eye-patched man with a parrot on his shoulder that is wearing a sweater. I am so happy and proud that you are brave enough to travel thousands of miles away to a place where you don't know anyone to explore a life other than good ol' Bonne Terre. **All the women who's independent throw your hands up at me **MUSIC NOTE** haha. I love you and miss you and can't wait to see you next week!! Ok stop reading this and get back to work missy. Love you.
